What happened to time?

Hello out there! Hopefully everyone is okay! It's been a long time since I've posted anything, you can thank Facebook for that. If it weren't for some admin responsibilities I'd probably only be posting here. So let's see if I can keep up with this.

Oh the twists and turns that life takes you on. I know it's been almost 3 years since my last post but things have changed dramatically. I still model traction almost entirely ho there are some and scale fashion models but my focus has been redefined on the Indianapolis traction terminal the plans are 90% complete I have been squirreling away or guard rail and the switch is necessary for the bill. admin a large Facebook group that is titled traction model railroading and that's where most of my posts are I will try to be more diligent in up keeping this especially

I'm back!!! Lets see if I can keep up with this.

Morning all, Sorry, its been way to long since my last post. Life takes many strange turns that we don't always see coming. Traction Madness is one of those curves! After some soul searching and moths taking up perment residence in my wallet, I've decided to condense all model railroading into N scale. For those of you on Facebook, check out 'Traction Model Railroading' but I will be back here a lot sooner. Some of the fleet; N scale CNS&M coaches.

Ugh!!! Trying something new!!!

Morning Gang,
Well after supporting Menard's and making sure Home Depot made there quarterly earnings, its time to start a new approach to the bench work! Instead of starting at the outer edges, I'm going to restart and work interior going out, in other words, start on the 'White' area then to the 'Gold' area and so on.
I'm hoping this will get me up and running streetcars sooner rather then later, which it all ready is.
No pictures today, just a new shopping list, an arm full of 1x3s and a sheet of 3/4 AC riped into 12 inch pieces and a sheet of 1 inch foam to deck it with.
This also means I need to get a hold of Andy at Proto87 and purchase the street rail system he has developed.
So hopefully next time I post, I'll have bench work and track work pictures for you.
Remember, we are suppose to be having fun, LOL
Until next time........................

BENCH WORK SOLVED!!!

The bench work, yikes that has been nothing but fits for me, starting to wonder if I'm expecting too much.

I did divide it into 4 track sections;
1 C,NS&M yard, that's 4'x12',
2 the three lines main station the gold area
3 the white area C,A&E street rail that's all the "Proto87 Electric Avenue track"
4 the turquoise and orange sides.

Requirement #1; keep it portable, I want it in the sections I described above.
Requirement #2; three levels all coming together in the gold area. I'd like 4" separating the turquoise from the orange and then another 4" separating the orange from the white and the white and gold are at the same levels.
Requirement #3; all cantary and DCC. I want to be able to run at least 6 trolleys at one time, more if possible.

Along with the Proto87 Electric Ave track, I'm going to buy his track making system, the one thing I do need to check with is will the jig do double crossovers, the 5 of them in the 'Gold' area

I guess when its all said and done, this will be my lifetime achievement layout. Every show I've been too I'm all ways amazed at the crowds around the traction models. That is by no means dissing the other layouts but with traction being such a small segment of the hobby, people my age and older are all ways enchanted with trolleys/interubans.

As for portability, I want to have the option to move and show the layout. It may never leave my house but the option is there.

Thats about it for now, hopefully it won't be as long for my next posting as it was between this one and the last one.

WISHING EVERYONE A MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEARS!

Just can't get it right???

This layout is still in its infancy, have done the bench work 4 times so far and its not what i have envisioned.
